We are excited to share our lab’s participation, in collaboration with our research partners from the European Commission, at the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting 2026!

The conference took place this January in Washington, D.C. Our lab was represented by doctoral researcher Gabriel Dadashev, who presented his paper, written with Francisco Pereira, titled “Travel Patterns Approach to Justify Personalized and Automated Transportation,” along with two additional research papers developed together with researchers from the European Commission, including Ada Garus, Biagio Ciuffo, and Konstantinos Mattas. These joint works reflect a shared effort to advance research on urban mobility and sustainability.

The papers coauthored with the Joint Research Centre focus on the energy implications of shared automated mobility systems, including "On the Energy Intensity of Shared Automated Mobility: The Role of Service Design and Automation System Energy in Shaping Urban Impacts."

and a collaboration with the CCAM Association titled "On the Energy Intensity of Shared Automated Mobility: The Role of Service Design and Automation System Energy in Shaping Urban Impacts."
