Future Mobility Lab's team is multidisciplinary in nature; we work with post-docs, PhD and Master students, which have diverse capabilities and interests such as: transport modelers and engineers, public policy specialists, computer scientists, environmental scientists, planners, and economists.
Dr. Bat-hen Nahmias-Biran
Lab Director
Dr. Bat-hen Nahmias-Biran is a senior lecturer at Tel-Aviv University, and head of the Future Mobility Lab. She is also a Research Affiliate in the ITS Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Bat-hen did her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Technion and received her PhD in Transportation Systems from the Technion. She was a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT at Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART), Future Urban Mobility (FM) lab. Before joining Tel-Aviv University, she was a senior lecturer at Ariel University.
Bat-hen's research fields lay at the intersection of transportation systems and policy. She especially enjoys doing interdisciplinary research, and have the ability and skills to connect different systems in different fields using state-of-the-art methodologies.

Bat-hen maintains close collaborations with American and European universities, institutions, and industry in order to develop new capabilities and new tools to address urban environment and transportation challenges.

Outside of the lab, Bat-hen enjoys family life in a small, green Moshav of an agricultural nature. She loves design of any kind, painting and kayaking.
